About Page: Who Are We?

The history of this website is one that’s funny – at least if you have a somewhat twisted sense of humor, which those of use starting this site do.  Leaving names out to avoid legal consequences, one of us once worked in “politics,” at a job heading up economic development programs for a small town.  The boss, who is not well thought of by really anyone, is a lawyer who fired one of us while we were sick with pneumonia, tried to keep the committee from offering severance, and then continued to run the program completely into the ground.  So where did the name come from?  This lawyer forced the online paper of the town (funded by the economic development programs) to write and publish a story which said that the fired person actually left of his own accord in order to “pursue other interests.”  And we thought that LIE was HILARIOUS!!

So here you are – on our website about just about any and everything under the sun.  If you’re going to pursue other interests, you mine as well go all out!
